Orthogonal Header Is A Space Saver

Oct. 1, 1998

By designing the MCO 1.5 header at a right angle (orthogonally) to the pc board, users can save valuable space as the headers can be placed in close proximity to one another. The high-density, pluggable headers are specifically designed for use in the firm's electronic component housing product line, but can also serve as a space-saving option for panel feed-through devices. The header is available in a 3.81-mm pitch versions having three to ten positions. The pc board can be positioned either on the left or right side of the header. The device can be used in the instrumentation industry to decrease space needed for the connector on the pc board.
