Designed specifically for use in motion and other industrial control applications, the MCS2000 panel-mounted industrial computer measures just 12" x 9" x 5.5" and features fail-safe contact terminals to automatically protect machinery against power or control interruption. It also includes a 20-year meantime before failure (MTBF) power supply, high capacity solid-state hard disk with no moving parts, and operates under Windows 98/NT and Linux. Powered by an Intel 533 MHz-based single board computer (SBC) with 64 MB of RAM. The system can also host up to four ISA boards of up to 3/4 length. Other features include VGA/LCD support, USB, RS-232/422/485 and 10/100 Base-T ports, and a watchdog timer. The unit will work with most commercially available motion and I/O boards, software-based PLC applications, and network/Internet controlled systems.
