VIA Technologies’ VAB-820 Pico-ITX board, which integrates a 1-GHz quad-core Freescale iMX6Quad ARM Cortex-A9 processor, is designed to meet the tough demands of advanced industrial, energy-management, and in-vehicle applications.

VIA Technologies’ VAB-820 Pico-ITX board, which integrates a 1-GHz quad-core Freescale iMX6Quad ARM Cortex-A9 processor, is designed to meet the tough demands of advanced industrial, energy-management, and in-vehicle applications. The 10- by 7.2-cm board offers power efficiency of 7-W thermal design power (TDP). Dual-dependent display support and three independent, fully integrated GPUs make for smoother 3D/2D graphics acceleration for full HD playback in multiple video formats. Dual coastline I/O includes one HDMI ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one MicroSD slot, and one Gigabit Ethernet port. It maintains 64-Gbyte eMMC flash memory and 1-Gbyte DDR3 SDRAM.  Also integrated on-board are one USB 2.0 host port, one USB OTG port, one Mini PCI-e, two COM port pin headers, one CANbus, one dual-channel LVDS connector, one S-video pin header, and eight GPIO pin headers. Operating temperature ranges from −20 to 70°C. Board support packages (BSPs) are available for Android and Ubuntu operating systems.
