The firm is now offering its patented piezo-sensor as a discrete component. Previously, the piezo device was sold as an integral part of the firm's Everswitch family of products, which include switches, keypads, keyboards, and other products that find use in man/machine interfaces, vending machines, and more. The ceramic-based piezo-sensors have no moving parts, but instead are activated by applying pressure to the housing surface. The force generates a "ripple" that is amplified by the sensor's electronics and converted into a digital signal. The final output voltage can be adjusted. The sensors come in two sizes and are terminated by lead wires or posts.
