The A6EXP8021, with the Intel Core Duo, and the Advme7511, which uses the freescale MC7511 PowerPC, target high-performance applications.

Advanet Inc. has introduced a pair of high-performance processor boards, one incorporating the Intel Core Duo and the other employing the Freescale MC7448 PowerPC.

The A6EXP8021 is a CompactPCI Express board using the 1.66-GHz Intel Core Duo. It employs the E7520 chip set for server-grade performance and excellent memory management. The PCI Express bus is available in 4-by-4 or 2-by-8 lanes and is compatible with various backplanes. Onboard peripherals include Gigabit Ethernet, Serial ATA, USB 2.0, graphics, a compact flash slot, and dual-inline memory module (DIMM) slots for up to 4 Gbytes of PC2-3200 RAM.

The Advme7511 is a VME64 board featuring the Freescale MC7448 PowerPC processor at up to 1.4 GHz and up to 1 Gbyte of DDR-SDRAM. The board incorporates a Thundra Tsi108 system controller and Tsi148 PCI-VME bridge. It provides two PMC slots for maximum expandability. Onboard peripherals include two Gigabit Ethernet ports and one RS-232 serial port. The Advme7511 is well-suited for applications requiring power, performance, and reliability such as defense/aerospace, telecom, transportation, and a variety of industrial systems.
