Enabling fast market entry for GSM handsets by slashing development time by up to 60%, Global System for Mobile (GSM) communications handset Reference Design package is based on firm's DSP technology and includes software tools, training and support needed for development of first or subsequent families of handsets. The design consists of the firm's Sceptre DSP chipset, all physical layer and protocol stack software, and a Man Machine Interface tool that allows adding functions and features for product differentiation and customization, system schematic and layout drawings, board-level circuit design and layout, and training on all offerings.
