Available with two low-voltage 15-A channels, the KDQ030 series dc-dc quarter-brick converters offer dual-output combinations from 1.2 to 5 V for a combined output total of 30 A. In comparison, industry-standard combined output current is 15 A in a quarter-brick footprint. As a result, the converters, which also free up valuable board space, can be used for various applications that require different low voltages with high-current-output combinations. The units accept an input voltage range from 36 to 75 V dc (48 V nominal). With a 200-LFM airflow, full power is available up to 55°C. The converter boasts a high-power output of 100 W combined with a high efficiency of 88% for the 3.3- and 5-V models. Other features include 2 million hours demonstrated mean time between failure (MTBF) and a ±10% output trim. The KDQ030 converter costs $77 in 1000-piece quantities.
