Bringing rack-mount system power to the road, the PServer R9 portable server is a self-contained, rugged server built with dual 2.8-GHz Intel Xeon processors. It contains up to 12 Gbytes of DDR PC3200 SDRAM and four drive bays for 7200- or 10,000-RPM hard drives, DVD, DVD-R/RW, and CD-R/RW drives. Its aluminum alloy chassis accommodates an extended ATX form-factor motherboard that can resist shocking extremes. Each system includes a large flat-panel display, a detachable keyboard with touchpad, and amplified speakers. Pricing starts at $7995.
