VMEbus SBC Delivers 1-GHz Pentium III Performance

The VMIVME-7697A single-board computer (SBC) is now available with a 1-GHz Pentium III CPU with a 256-KB advanced transfer cache. The board also includes real-time features such as 128 MB of flash memory, battery-backed SRAM, three 32-bit timers, up to 192 MB of CompactFlash, and a software-selectable watchdog timer.Standard features include up to 512 MB of SDRAM, a 64-bit AGP SVGA video controller with 4 MB of SDRAM, 100 MHz system bus, an on-board Fast Ethernet controller supporting 10Base-T and 100Base-TX interfaces, and Ultra-DMA-33 hard- and floppy-drive controllers. VME64 modes supported include A32, A24, D32, D16, D08 (EO), MBLT64 and BLT32. Operating system support includes Windows NT/2000, VxWorks, Solaris, QNX, LynxOS, and Linux. The starting price for a single unit is $4,473.
