Designed for low-cost commercial GPS applications such as GPS receivers, PDAs, wireless terminals, or other multi-functional mobile devices, the GPS Hardware Accelerator is said to improve every dimension of GPS performance. The accelerator working with firm's Zodiac chipset removes the limits of time to acquisition from the GPS terminal to the fundamental limits of the GPS system itself. Its advanced power management capabilities are well-suited for handheld receiver, automotive and marine navigation uses. Acquisition is less than 1 second for warm or initialized start, and less than 5 seconds for acquisition under all conditions. Reacquisition is 40 ms, and search for all satellites is 20 ms.
