Emerson Picks Pepperl+Fuchs as Fieldbus Operator

Pepperl+Fuchs will serve as the Fieldbus interface and PC operator terminal supplier for an Emerson Process Management expansion project with GE Healthcare's Lindesnes plant in Norway.

Pepperl+Fuchs will serve as the Fieldbus interface and PC operator terminal supplier for an Emerson Process Management expansion project with GE Healthcare for its Lindesnes plant in Norway. Emerson will use Pepperl+Fuchs' FieldConnex, a fieldbus installation system to provide solutions between the Emerson DeltaV digital automation system and the fieldbus field devices being installed. FieldConnex will provide the Power Hub, a unique and highly-reliable fully redundant passive power supply system that provides physical layer diagnostic capabilities. Segment protectors and fieldbarriers will be used for distribution and protection of the fieldbus digital plant network. FieldConnex will interface the field measurement instrumentation to Emerson's DeltaV digital automation system. GE Healthcare's Lindesnes plant produces the active ingredients used in -ray and MRI contrast agents.
