DDCAs Modules Exploit QWIP Technology

June 23, 2010
Based on the company’s quantum well infrared photodetector (QWIP) technology, its latest detector dewar cooler assembly (DDCA) modules target harsh-environment military and industrial infrared imaging applications.

Based on the company’s quantum well infrared photodetector (QWIP) technology, its latest detector dewar cooler assembly (DDCA) modules target harsh-environment military and industrial infrared imaging applications. Integrated into infrared cameras and systems, the two integral cooler DDCAs include 320 x 256 and 640 x 480 components, both of which are equipped with rotary integral coolers and can be provided with proxy electronics. The modules are said to be compact, power efficient, and lightweight. Standard peak spectral response is 8.6 µm, but can be tailored to meet specific application requirements. The detector electronics can also be customized for specific applications if necessary. IRnova AB, Kista, Sweden. +46 (0)8 793 66 00.
