False actuation due to vibration or shock is said to be eliminated with the Model PSF100A pressure switch, which utilizes a double diaphragm/double contact configuration. In a normal state, with no pressure applied, both contacts of the double make/double break circuit configuration are open. When subjected to shock or vibration, the contact arms move together in parallel. Since at least once contact is always open, the circuit cannot close in error. When air pressure is applied, both contacts are closed, completing the circuit. The switch weighs less than 10 grams and exhibits extremely fast response time and high reliability, with a mechanical life of more than 20 million cycles. Applications include aircraft control, remote control, and parts counting and sorting. Call for price. WORLD MAGNETICS, Traverse City, MI. (231) 946-3800.
