A line of standard and custom-designed toroidal step-down control transformers offers an improved alternative to the conventional stacked lamination type. Their efficient core construction makes them considerably smaller and lighter while generating less heat.

The transformers are UL recognized to UL506 for power ratings up to 3000-VA, 50/60-Hz operation. Custom-design step-down control transformers are also available. A 1000-VA transformer measures 6.4 by 3.3 in. and weighs 17 lbs. A comparable conventional transformer measures 6.4 by 6.3 by 5.3 in. and weighs 31.5 lbs.
