VCO Brandishes 1662- To 1708-MHz Operating Range

July 26, 2012
The CVCO33BE-1662-1708 voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) developed by Crystek operates from 1662 to 1708 MHz with an approximate 0.5- to 4.5-V control voltage range
The CVCO33BE-1662-1708 voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) developed by Crystek operates from 1662 to 1708 MHz with an approximate 0.5- to 4.5-V control voltage range. Excellent linearity is coupled with a typical phase noise measure -106 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz. Output power is usually +2 dBm. The VCO has a 5-V input voltage, with a maximum current consumption of 20 mA. Pushing and pulling are minimized to 5.0 MHz and 5.0 MHz/V, respectively; second harmonic suppression is -15 dBc typical. The device comes in a 0.5- by 0.5-in. SMD package. Applications include digital radio equipment, fixed wireless access, satellite communications systems, and basestations.
