Altia Design 11.1, the core of Altia’s development tool suite, now offers a GUI editor and graphics code generator for building customized user-interface models with graphics created from scratch or imported from standard design programs (e.g., Adobe Photoshop). The Altia GUI can connect to various simulation tools or C code to create a complex, user-driven model that shareable among users and management teams for testing and validation prior to production. Once approved, the code generator automatically generates pure C source code that exploits the resources of the selected production hardware. New features include the Validator, which enables real-time validation of GUI designs against general guidelines or design specific to a selected embedded target. The new Debuggers gives users the ability to look “under the hood” while their GUI runs within Altia Design to review and trap animation activity. The next generation of the Display Object—the new Layer Manager—helps manage multi-layer designs, create screens, and handle layer composition.  With the 3D Scene Object, 3D mesh files and animations can be imported and controlled from 3D authoring tools like Maya and 3DS Max. Also, the Multi-Plot Object delivers complex plotting, strip-charting, and data logging for advanced applications (medical, industrial user interfaces).
