A 5-in. diagonal thin-film transistor (TFT) LCD integrates an NTSC decoder module and a backlight with inverter. Model T-51380L050J-FW-P-AB is a transmissive LCD that provides high luminance (320 nits) and a dot pixel display format of 960 by 234. The unit measures 127.4 by 92.8 by 18.5 mm. Weighing only 230 g, the LCD operates between −10°C and 60°C. Inputs include composite video and component RGB with support for QVGA mode. This analog LCD can be designed into security, monitoring, and surveillance systems as well as portable DVD players and global positioning systems. In 1000-unit quantities, the T-51380L050J-FW-P-AB costs $172.
