The company's patent-pending Novalux extended cavity surface emitting laser (NECSEL) technology is said to have responsible for creating two of the industry's most powerful lasers. Both components are 980 nm devices for pumping erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) in optical networks. The first pump is a single-mode EDFA pump laser module available in 200 mW and 360 mW powers. The second is a multi-mode pump laser module in the 750 mW power range.
