Delivering what may be the audio industry’s highest performance, the ADSP-21367 and ADSP-21368 SHARC audio processors operate at speeds up to 400 MHz. Integration levels may raise a few eyebrows also with 6 Mb of ROM that is factory-programmed with industry-standard audio decoder and post-processor algorithms (ADSP-21367) or with user-specified algorithms (ADSP-21368); 2 Mb of RAM; eight full-duplex serial ports; an S/PDIF transmitter/receiver; two signal routing units for peripheral-to-pin configuration; two UARTS; four clock generators; up to 34 GPIO pins; 10 hardware interrupts; two SPI ports; three timers; a two-wire interface; an input data port for parallel data or additional I2S channels; and an eight-channel hardware asynchronous sample-rate converter. The ADSP-21368 also includes support for shared memory systems. The ADSP-21367 and ADSP-21368 will be sampling in the first quarter of 2005 and will be available in quantity by the summer for $29.95 and $34.95 each/10,000, respectively.
