Hitting a maximum speed of 19,000 rpm is a new series of gearmotors that uses powerful rare-earth magnets to maximize the torque available in a 10-mm diameter package. The rhombic moving-coil design is said to provide for long life, low electrical noise, fast acceleration, and high efficiency. The ironless rotor allows for zero cogging and simple, accurate control. As a standalone motor, the lengths available are 17 mm and 25 mm, which are rated at 0.75W and 1.5W, respectively. Operating temperature range is -20°C to 65°C. A matching 10- mm diameter gearhead is available with ratios from 4:1 to 1024:1 and is capable of delivering 14 oz.-in. of continuous torque.
