Microsemi Corporation unveiled a range of mixed signal/analogue high performance ICs at electronica 2006.

Microsemi Corporation unveiled a range of mixed signal/analogue high performance ICs here at electronica. Amongst them were the company's PowerMOS generation of MOSFETs, new D class amplifiers and two new semiconductor packaging ideas. The company was also showing light sensors and backlight controllers for use with LCDs.

Motor control platform
International Rectifier unveiled its sensorless sinusoidal motor control platform that the company claims delivers quieter operation and higher efficiency for variable speed pump applications up to 300W. The latest iMOTION platform consists of a mixed signal controller and an intelligent power module as well as algorithms, development software and design tools.
