Allegro MicroSystems’ A1304 3.3-V, linear Hall-effect sensor is a factory-trimmed one-time programmable (OTP-ROM) IC, thus eliminating the need to program the device to compensate for temperature effects on sensor performance.

Allegro MicroSystems’ A1304 3.3-V, linear Hall-effect sensor is a factory-trimmed one-time programmable (OTP-ROM) IC, thus eliminating the need to program the device to compensate for temperature effects on sensor performance. Designed for applications that require medium accuracy in small packages, it supports an industrial temperature range of −40 to 85°C. Typical programmable sensitivity level measures 4 mV/G, ±6%. Sensitivity and quiescent voltage output (QVO) temperature coefficient (TC) are trimmed at the factory to improve accuracy. Voltage output is proportional to the applied magnetic field. The device, fabricated in a biCMOS monolithic process, includes a Hall element, offset and sensitivity trim circuitry to correct for variation in the Hall element, small-signal high-gain amplifier, and a proprietary dynamic offset cancellation technique. It comes in a 3-pin, miniature surface-mount SOT-23W-style package.
