Standard-shaft and hollow-shaft versions of incremental encoders, and absolute encoding models with a stainless-steel shaft are all part of a line of optical rotary encoders for positioning and motion-control applications. The TRD (-S, -N, -GK) Series of incremental encoders are quadrature-style units with marker pulses in various resolutions from 100 to 2500 pulses/revolution.TRD-S miniature models have 6-mm solid or hollow shafts and a 200-kHz maximum response frequency. The TRD-N models feature a compact body with 8-mm solid or hollow shaft and accept source voltages from 5 vdc to 30 vdc. TRD-GK models have a heavy-duty 10-mm solid shaft and long-life bearing. The TRD-NA absolute encoders come in resolutions from 5-bit to 10-bit Gray code outputs with 20-kHz maximum frequency response.
