VPX3-216 ExpressReach 3U, switchless OpenVPX-ready VPX carrier card promises to speed and ease the integration of XMC mezzanine cards
The VPX3-216 ExpressReach 3U, switchless OpenVPX-ready VPX carrier card promises to speed and ease the integration of XMC mezzanine cards (VITA 42.4) into embedded systems complaint with the VITA 65 standard. The card’s small form factor enables system developers to take advantage of COTS solutions for a wide range of space-, weight-, and power-constrained applications that cannot accommodate the 6U standard. Other features include support for one XMC mezzanine module, x8 lanes of PCI Express to XMC, support for XMC I/O to backplane, PN5-PN6 connectors, XMC I/O routed as per VITA 46.9, 20 differential, impedance controlled pairs, 38 single-ended signals, 5V or 12V XMC operation, an IPMI interface, and power-management features. For more details, contact Jerri-Lynne Charbonneau at Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
