A free, fully functional RTOS evaluation kit is available that enables designers to use the full features of the smx real-time multitasking kernel as well as associated software to develop and test his or her own application under Microsoft Developer Studio. The final .exe file runs as a Windows application. When it comes time to move the application to the actual embedded target, the developer must purchase the full versions of the software. The SPEK (smx/PEG Evaluation Kit) includes the kernel and smx++ C++ wrapper and support. Also included is the PEGmt portable embedded GUI, including font and image conversion utilities and RAD window-builder tool. This is the multithreaded version. Also included are full product manuals in electronic form.
