Members of an H-type high-barrier-height rectifier family offer a typical forward voltage drop as low as 0.49 V, typical leakage current as low as 2.0 mA at 125°C, and high maximum operating junction temperature of 175°C. The minimized specs were derived from a proprietary Schottky-barrier technology. On top of that, a reverse surge capability of 25 kV electrostatic discharge (ESD) offers added reliability, and inductive reverse avalanche energy runs up to 80 mJ. The devices provide low-loss operation in high-frequency dc-to-dc conversion, high-frequency inversion, and polarity protection applications. Typical end products include power supplies, battery chargers, and desktop computers. The new H-type rectifiers cost $0.22 to $0.65 in 25,000-piece lots.
