Designed with FPGA development in mind, the Foundation Integrated Synthesis Environment (ISE) software includes the company's implementation tools that are claimed to deliver unequalled productivity for designs up to ten-million gates with compilation times averaging two to five min. for 100,000 system gates and 30 to 45 min. for one-million gate FPGAs. A flow manager, Project Navigator, guides users through an easy to use push-button interface. The flow manager also integrates with Synplicity's Synplify synthesis tool suite via push buttons. In addition, the software provides architecture-specific support for many of the company's other products, which include Spartan, Spartan-XL, Spartan-II, Virtex-E, Virtex-EM FPGAs, and XC9500 CPLDs. The software operates under Windows 98/2000/NT. Pricing starts at $1,690.
