LED Glows Brightly In Tiny Package

Measuring just 0.45 mm high, the Mini-Chip LED comes in a 0402 size package having a footprint of 1 mm x 0.5 mm. The LED has the luminous intensity of an ultra-bright 38 mcd device when powered at 2 mA. Its small design makes this LED suited for use in all backlight applications, especially for handheld products, lighted keypads, and other portable devices.
The LEDs are available in most colors and they have a 100,000-hour lamp life. Prices are approximately $0.06 each for minimum quantities.
