Complying with IEEE 802.3u specifications over Category 5 UTP wiring, BEL S558-5999-L1 magnetics module is designed to provide connectivity for compact LAN products such as portable or notebook computers using the industry-standard PCMCIA Type 1 cards. Module dimensions are 0.078" x 0.560" square to fit small spaces. Providing high signal integrity under maximum capacity data transmission conditions, the module's transformers each provide 350 µH minimum inductance with 8 mA of dc bias. The device also is said to offer excellent EMI and common-mode noise suppression on its interchangeable transmit and receive channels, high voltage isolation, and wave shaping properties over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
