Photo ICs Feature High Integration In Subminiature Package

In a subminiature plastic package, the S8030 and S8064 photo ICs integrate a dual photodiode, LED drive circuitry, and a signal-processing circuit. Operating on 5V with a typical power consumption of 4 mA, both have a typical peak sensitivity wavelength of 850 nm and photo sensitivity of 0.3 A/W.Their dual photodiodes provide an active area of 0.7 mm x 0.5 mm per channel.
