Teaming up with Freescale Semiconductor's MC68HC908JB12 USB and MC68HC908QY4 microcontrollers, the ADNK-2133 optical-mouse reference design kit includes the ADNS-2030 optical mouse sensor and all necessary components, schematics, layout, and firmware. Designed for use with the HDNS-2100 lens and HDNS-2200 clip with the HLMP-ED80-XX000 LED, the sensor provides frame rates from 500 fps to 2,300 fps with a 400 or 800 count-per-inch resolution, and speeds up to 14 inches per second. It provides automatic power conservation during periods when the mouse is not moved and operates on a single 3.3V (3.6V maximum) power supply. The kit is configured for a standard three-button mouse with I/Os for expansion to five buttons. It is compatible with Windows 98/2000/XP. Price is $199. AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES INC., Palo Alto, CA.
