Brisbane, CA-A compatibility designation program has been launched by Hitachi Semiconductor (America) Inc. as a solution for solving compatibility issues between Flash memory cards and their host devices. The firm also announced the general availability of its Flash card controller chipset, providing system developers and after-market card manufacturers with an integrated, single-chip controller solution for card-based and embedded Flash designs. Both solutions are designed to allow device manufacturers to utilize engineering resources more effectively.
