Hi-Rel Microelectronics Specialist Enters Russian Market

Jan. 17, 2012
C-MAC MicroTechnology won its first order to supply commercial satellite technology to the Russian market.

Great Yarmouth, UK: C-MAC MicroTechnology won its first order to supply commercial satellite technology to the Russian market, working with Russian distributor Petersburg Electronics Company. The order comes after sales meetings with seven of the country’s leading telecommunications companies in Moscow and St Petersburg.

C-MAC will provide a range of power-conditioning components and modules, including point-of-load dc-dc converters for next-generation communication and earth observation satellites. Performance, durability, and reliability in the extreme temperature and radiation environments of space were some of the attributes that attracted Petersburg to the devices.

The order is expected to lead to more opportunities in Russia, which is a major player in the global satellite communications industry.
