Vaunix Technology, a designer and manufacturer of RF and microwave test equipment and communications products, has delivered a pair of new Synthesized Signal Generators to its Lab Brick LMS series. The LMS-802 and LMS-103 handle 4 to 8 GHz and 5 to 10 GHz, respectively. Thes signal generators have low phase noise, 100 microsecond switching time and 100 Hz frequency resolution. The units are compact and are interfaced to a PC via  a Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection. The USB connection provides power and the units can also run on batteries or an external power supply. They offer advanced performance and features such as linear frequency sweeping, optional pulse modulation and internal/external triggering.  The generators are controlled via the Graphical User Interface (GUI) software supplied with each unit. LabVIEW compatible software drivers are also available. The Lab Brick product line now covers 20 MHz to 10 GHz. The standard units deliver +10 dBm output power across their full operating-frequency ranges. Optional output power levels of +13 and +20 dBm are available on most models.
