Designed for broadband and microwave applications is a new line of chip capacitors that act as a coupling capacitor or dc blocking capacitor for MMICs, transistors or other ICs. These single-layer chip capacitors are produced with sputtered-on termination for stronger adhesion-they exceed the requirements of MIL-C-49464. Fifteen dielectrics and various custom sizes, capacitance values, shapes, tolerances and higher voltages are available. The chip caps may be specified with a capacitance range from 0.05 through 5000 pF and an operating frequency up to 50 GHz. They are ESD proof and provide an operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. The devices have a standard voltage range of 50-100 vdc, with higher voltages available upon request.
