The Genesis NP line of valve-regulated lead-acid batteries has been expanded up to 100 Ah to meet the needs of higher power applications. These batteries are said to be effective for any general-purpose application requiring dc power back-up, such as telecommunications, uninterruptible power supplies or switchgear. The Genesis NP55-12, NP75-12 and NP100-12 batteries use proven gas recombinant VRLA technology to minimize gas evolution during charging and discharging, maximizing space utilization by allowing the batteries to be installed in cabinets or on stands in a variety of environments, such as computer rooms. This technology eliminates the need for watering, reducing maintenance costs. Designed for user safety, the Genesis NP batteries have a rugged flame retardant ABS plastic case and cover, and separators to completely absorb electrolyte during operation to prevent free acid leakage if the battery case is accidentally damaged. Batteries have UL recognition and meet critical industry standards, including IATA, US DOT, FAA and CAA certifications for air transport. Pricing starts at $120 each. ENERSYS INC., Reading, PA.
