With an eye on high-density designs, the 0.1" thick Part #55 nickel-plated, spring-steel battery clips promise secure retention of N and AAA type cells. The clips feature a flow-hole, SMT solder tail that is said to increase joint strength. The surface-mount clips are available in loose piece packaging or on tape-and-reel (Part #55TR) with 300 clips on each 13" reel. The carrier tape is made of polystyrene and meets ANSI/EIA-481 requirements.
