The IRS44273L low-side gate drive IC from IR offers high drive capability in a highly compact SOT-23-5L package for IGBT and MOSFET gate drive. The IC provides 1.5 A (typical) sink and source capability, 3.3 V logic compatibility, fast switching performance, and integrated under-voltage lockout protection with minimal board space requirements. This functionality, previously only available in larger packages, enables more compact and economical system design. Compatible with CMOS and LSTTL controllers, the IC has CMOS Schmitt-triggered, non-inverted inputs, and two output pins on either side of the package offering layout flexibility. Typical applications include general purpose gate drivers, dc-dc converters and plasma display panels. Pricing for the IRS44273L gate drive IC begins at $0.25 each/10,000 with production quantities available immediately. The devices are leadfree, RoHS compliant and prices are subject to change.
