According to Green Watt Power, a division of Calex Mfg. Co., its 18-W GLCA series of constant-current LED power supplies offer a more compact solution over the company’s standard 18-W GLC series. The fully encapsulated (with IP67 rating) supplies measure 3.43 by 1.65 by 1.08 in. (the 3.43-in. dimension includes the mounting flanges), and weight 18 kg. The GLCA series has a universal input range of 100 to 305 V ac, and feature output currents of 350, 500, and 700 mA. Voltage ranges are 35 to 52 V for the 350-mA model, 28- to 36-V for the 500-mA model, and 18- to 30-V for the 700-mA version. Specs include a 0.90 power factor correction, 5% maximum noise and ripple, less than 20% total harmonic distortion, ±10% overshoot and undershoot response, and 0.4-A input current at 110 V ac. Setup and rise times are 1.5 seconds and 200 ms, respectively. Operating temperature ranges from ‒20 to +60°C, and storage temperature ranges from ‒40 to +85°C.
