UltiMod Power Supplies Comply With SEMI F47 Voltage Sag Immunity

March 25, 2014
Excelsys Technologies’ UltiMod and Xgen power-supply families now comply with the SEMI F47 requirement for semiconductor-processing voltage sag immunity.

Factory automation equipment requires very high levels of power quality due to the sensitivity of fabrication equipment and process controls. To meet those demands, Excelsys Technologies’ UltiMod and Xgen power-supply families now comply with the SEMI F47 requirement for semiconductor-processing voltage sag immunity: Both meet the required 200 ms at 50% voltage sage, as well as meet the 20-ms hold up for a complete loss of input line voltage. A voltage sag (or dip) is defined as a decrease in rms voltage or current below 90% of nominal for durations of half an ac cycle to one minute, but not a complete interruption. UltiMod and Xgen can be populated with up to six off-the-shelf powerMod output modules, which maintain power ratings of 72 to 288 W, and offer any combination of voltage from 1.5 to 58 V. All outputs are fully isolated and can be connected in series or parallel. Other features include a permanently on 5-V dc bias/standby voltage, power-good LED indicators, and individual output-module control signals.
