Circuit Design Tool Runs Inside Visio Technical Drawing Software

Feb. 1, 1999

SpiceLink 1.0 gives users of Visio technical drawing software a tool for instant analysis of analog circuits while drawing a schematic. SpiceLink is a Visio add-on stencil that provides circuit design capabilities from within Visio. Users simply drag component symbols onto their drawing and connect them with auto-routing wires. SpiceLink automatically checks wiring errors and provides dc steady-state (bias point) voltages and currents for the circuit. Models for 851 popular diodes and transistors are built in, or users can customize Spice parameters directly.
