By reorganizing its North American distribution network, Lattice Semiconductor, Hillsboro, OR, hopes to build momentum behind its recently announced BFW product families. The company has dropped Insight Electronics from its distribution network and will carry on with preferred partners Arrow, Avnet, Marshall and, in Canada, Future Electronics. Each partner brings the customer base, resources, scale and commitment needed to sell and service Lattice's in-system programmable logic devices. The PLDs are said to shorten design cycles and reduce development costs by allowing customers to quickly and efficiently incorporate different logic functions on a single device.
