Miniature Connectors Can Carry High Voltage

The Miniature High Voltage (MHV) connectors provide shielded disconnects where high voltages are present and a BNC type interface is required. Center contacts are recessed within lengthened dielectric material to provide protection against electrical shock when handling unmated connectors. Although often referred to as high voltage BNCs, these connectors are not intermateable with standard BNC connectors. These non-constant impedance connectors are built to MIL-39012 interface specifications and feature nickel-plated, machined brass bodies, gold-plated pins and contacts and Teflon insulation for enhanced performance. The connectors are designed for use with frequencies ranging from 0 to 300 MHz and voltages of up to 5 kVrms in mated pairs.
