Richardson, TX-A Custom System Group dedicated to the design and development of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) solutions has been established by Anritsu Co.'s North American Region Operation. The custom systems developed by the group will reportedly provide capabilities to customers at a fraction of the cost if they were developed by the customer, as well as bringing them to market faster. The custom systems will consist of firm's test instruments, computer systems, application-specific software, and, when necessary, third-party hardware. Initial system development will focus on: RF/microwave multiport, mixer, amplifier, and up-and-down converter measurements; analysis of cellular phones and PCS components; and optical testing, including circulating loop and EDFA systems.
