UAV take off with Goldy flight control system

A team of aerospace engineering researchers at the University of Minnesota are creating the next generation of research aircraft flight control system used at NASA. The “Goldy” system serves as the brain of professional-grade UAVs (or drones) used for scientific research and allows researchers to pilot the aircraft from the ground, collect data as it flies and process that data into useful information.

Vision-based control for UAV

University of Minnesota researchers have developed an autonomous quadrotor that uses vision to navigate by itself inside the University's Walter Library using a path defined by the researchers.
