It limits the front-panel interface to the control of basic parameters to reduce the total number of soft screens, buttons, and menu layers dramatically, making it quick to learn and easy to use. The unit can switch in under 400 µs over its three operating frequency ranges of 10 MHz to 8 GHz, 10 MHz to 20 GHz, and 10 MHz to 40 GHz. The 2400 series includes WaveMaker, a Windows XP PC-based software package designed for an enhanced user interface and automatic-test-equipment systems. Prices start at $17,000.
