RCS Option Accelerates LTE Testing

A new extension to Anritsu’s Rapid Test Designer (RTD) delivers a single supplier solution for testing LTE signaling with IMS functions, and audio and video quality.

A new extension to Anritsu’s Rapid Test Designer (RTD) delivers a single supplier solution for testing LTE signaling with IMS functions, and audio and video quality. The extension adds flexibility during testing of Rich Communications Services (RCS) on LTE devices during development, creating tests five to 10 times quicker than when using a traditional scripting language, says Anritsu. The RCS option for the RTD VoLTE-IMS solution supports testing of the protocols needed to support presence, instant messaging, file transfer, and XML Document Management (XDM). The RTD VoLTE-IMS Solution contains Anritsu’s MD8430A signaling tester to simulate the LTE radio network.  Anritsu teamed with Radvision, an Avaya company, to integrate its PROLAB IMS/RCS/VoLTE testing product with RTD.
