The PMD-1608FS data-acquisition (DAQ) module provides eight simultaneously sampled 16-bit analog inputs with continuous multichannel sampling rates up to 100 ksamples/s and burst sample rates up to 200 ksamples/s. Priced at $399 in one- to four-unit quantities, it's fully compatible with USB 1.1 and 2.0 standards and is supported by Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP operating systems. Measuring 3.25 in. wide by 3.125 in. long by 1 in. high, it's large enough to make it easy for designers to connect field wiring yet small enough to fit on crowded benches. The unit is available with magnetic and Velcro mounting options.
