A two-day workshop for engineers seeking federal funding will teach entrepreneurs how to "read between the lines" of government solicitations to win Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grants. "SBIR Grants for the Curious Engineer in Business" will be held Oct. 7 and 8 at the National Semiconductor Credit Union in Sunnyvale, Calif. Registration is under $200. It's sponsored by the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of IEEE/LEOS. Presentations by government agencies and industry experts will include information on successful and unsuccessful applications and a panel discussion by members of the capital investment and SBIR sectors. For more information, go to www.ieee.org/sbir. To register, contact Marilyn Turner at [email protected] or (650) 327-6622.
