Introducing SNIA's Storage.AI Webinar

Storage.AI is a project to optimize large-scale storage architectures for GPUs and AI accelerators

Date: Sept. 9, 2025
1:00 PM ET / 12:00 PM CT / 10:00 AM PT / 6:00 PM GMT
Duration: 30 minutes

This webinar is free to all registered Electronic Design members. Once the webinar is available, you can just sign up or log in to view it.

There will be more information about this topic at the SNIA Developer Conference (SDC) in Santa Clara from Sept. 15th through the 17th, 2025.

Summary

Supporting artificial intelligence's (AI) insatiable need for compute and storage is why SNIA put together the Storage.AI project. This webinar introduces the project's goals and the standards it will encompass.

Storage.AI will help deliver efficient data services related to AI workloads. How AI workloads utilize storage impacts cost, power, and performance. This discussion touches on the urgent problems in data services, especially around how storage interacts with compute.

"Data pipelines are inefficient — round-tripping between storage and compute is wasting power and performance."

Host

Bill Wong is Senior Content Director at Electronic Design, an Endeavor Business Media publication. He earned a Bachelor of Electric Engineering at The Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master's in Computer Science from Rutgers University. He has been an engineer, programmer, and editor.
